Balete, Aklan, a municipality in the province of Aklan, Philippines
Jose Borromeo Legaspi Memorial National High School, a public secondary school located in Aklan, Philippines.
Established on January 15, 1904, the municipality was named after the first president of the United States, George Washington, as a tribute to the Thomasites, a group of American teachers who in the early 1900s established a new public education system in the Philippines, taught basic education, and trained Filipino teachers with English as medium of instruction.
It also serves the Boroughs of New Washington, Burnside, Mahaffey, Newburg, and Bell Townshp in Clearfield County.
He privately funded the purchase of land on an island near Manila (Sampaguita Gardens in Aklan), and built a resort.
The SRNH segment between Manila and Iloilo runs by road to Batangas City, by ferry to Calapan, by road to Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, by ferry to Caticlan (gateway to Boracay, located in Malay, Aklan) and onwards by road to Iloilo City.
The WSHB signal is planned to serve the Norwalk, Bellevue, Attica, New Washington, New London, Shiloh and Shelby areas not covered by sister stations WFOT and WHRQ, thus making it the sixth Catholic station in the Toledo Diocese.
