During 1999–2000, Doyle Bramhall II and Snowy White stood in for Gilmour's vocals and guitar solos; a role carried out by Chester Kamen and White in 2002.

Doyle Bramhall II

Following the 1999 release of Jellycream, Bramhall's solo debut for RCA, he received phone calls from both Roger Waters and Eric Clapton.

In addition to collaborating with artists such as T-Bone Burnett, Elton John, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Gary Clark, Jr., Gregg Allman, Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, Billy Preston, Erykah Badu, Questlove and Meshell Ndegeocello, Bramhall has produced several records, including Sheryl Crow's 100 Miles from Memphis in 2011.

Bramhall just completed co-production on Eric Clapton's current release Old Sock and toured internationally with Clapton in 2013.

Two years later he co-founded the rock band Arc Angels with fellow Austinite Charlie Sexton and members from Stevie Ray Vaughan’s rhythm section - Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon.

As a songwriter, she has co-written songs performed by Madonna (Melvoin co-wrote "Ray of Light's" fourth track "Candy Perfume Girl"), Eric Clapton, and Doyle Bramhall II of Arc Angels.
