Tracey has played with visiting American musicians such as Scott Hamilton, Johnny Griffin, Red Rodney, Barney Kessell, John Hicks and Pharoah Sanders throughout his career.
He played in a number of theaters, with Dizzy Gillespie at Birdland (1952), on the America Boat with Anthony Ortega (1954) and Modern Jazz Quartet (1955), and was a regular pianist at Metropol Jazz Club, where he played with jazz greats such as Dexter Gordon (1962), Coleman Hawkins (1963), Johnny Griffin (1964), and with Svend Asmussen and Stuff Smith in Sweden 1965.
Frode Kjekstad (born 23 November 1974 in Lier, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (guitar), married to jazz singer Aina Fridén, and known from cooperations and recordings with jazz musicians like Lonnie Smith, Eric Alexander, Frank Foster, Johnny Griffin, Don Menza, Jim Morrison, Mark Nightingale, Claire Martin, Deborah Brown, and Wendell Brunious.

He accompanied several visiting musicians on their visits to Sweden, including Josh White, Ben Webster, Dexter Gordon, Clark Terry, Johnny Griffin, Benny Bailey, Gábor Szabó and Dick Morrissey, as well as playing regularly with other leading Swedish jazz musicians, such as Jan Johansson, Rolf Ericson, Jan Allan, and Arne Domnérus.
It comprises recordings from sessions for Blue Note and United Artists Records as a sideman for Paul Chambers, Sonny Clark, Johnny Griffin, and Cecil Taylor that were issued respectively on their Whims of Chambers, Sonny's Crib, A Blowin' Session, and Hard Driving Jazz albums.
